MATIANG'I RELEASES 2017 KCSE RESULTS

After concluding the final paper of any examination it is the eagerness of every candidate to know what he or she has scored.The long anticipated 2017 KCSE results has finally been  released by CS of education Fred Matiangi at Nairobi school.
This year we had 615,733 candidates  who sat for their KCSE examination in 9350 centers. The exams were marked from November to 17th December.They were marked in 25 centers.31 subjects were examined.
This year we had 142A's while last year 141.We had 20,714 A- students almost half of last year. Matiang'i said Maths dropped this year .Female candidates performed better than male students. School's that performed well include Alliance girls and Kenya High.However Pangani emerged as most improved with Karimi Naomi leading nationaly with 87 points.Students can get their results by sending their index number to 22252.
However this year a reduction in cases of cheating compared to the past years. TSC  CEO Nancy Macharia said,"40 teachers were arrested and are awaiting conviction. Five students did not complete their exams after being caught cheating." 105 students results have been upheld.
Mathiang'i urged the stakeholders in education to raise students in a good manner because they are a gift from God.He thanked all partners for working together including the President. He acknowledged the fact that the were able to move to all counties during the examination.He praised Uhuru for having set a standard and having concern over the education sector.

Campus life is fun,laughter, crazy and boring all in the same plate. If you are a campus student, or you were at some point back then, you can agree with me that attending classes isn’t all that fun. But what mostly determines how we feel about lessons is the lecturer teaching that unit. If a lecture is fun and lively then you can’t afford to miss it, but if the lecturer is hostile and boring …you have to debate with yourself thrice whether you should attend or not. Below is a list of the types of lectures in Kenyan universities. 1.Strict & Always Present Lecturer This one never misses a single lecture, not even if it is scheduled for 8PM – 11PM. Even though they may not lecture for the full duration, they try and exhaust what they wanted to teach that day. They don’t like people who use phones in classes, talk and giggle. 2.Present But a Don’t care Lecturer This one will come to class when he has a lesson, dictate for you the notes and leave.
