Biometric cencus registration move by the government is bound to face challenge due to wide spreading misconceptions despite the various benefits such as helping in combarting crime.

The united nations recomnendation  to have all countries carying out electronic cencus registration by the 2020 has greately contributed to hastening of the process of having biometric registration.

Peoples fears about their privacy  is another challenge set to face the electronic cencus registration  since it involves a high level of protecting peoples confideciality. The government has a task of assuring kenyan's that their will be no inflinchment on their privacy.

Security of individuals is cause of panic among individuals since such information system may be prone to external interference or hacking by other individuals outside the system.
The new technology is set to reduce the chances of having a desputed cencus results  which has been an issue of political controversy.
It also comes along with many benefits including; fastening the census process and reduce the chances of wrong information being written down.
The tax collection body, security agencies and universal health providers are set to greatly going to benefit from the new method of carrying out cencus.  Tax evation through forging of documents and  fraud in health insurance will be a thing of the past.

The electronic cencus registration should be approached not only as a technological issue but also as an organizational  process.
The  implementation  of  needs  the  support  from  the  leaders  and  top leadership of our country  for  successful  implementation.  The  support refers  to  the  promise  from  leaders  to  accept,  support  and  adopt  the new registration process.

With over  30,000 biometric kits procured the government should consider  having public awareness in a bid to avoid misuse of the citizens resources..
