World Players Who Accepted Pay Cuts To Help In Combating Covid-19

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to claim many lives some who are well endowed with financial resources have dug into their pockets to finance the curb against the spread of the deadly virus.
Elite players are on the spotlight of our donations to the world. Calls have emanated from several places of the world urging the players to donate to health care services or agree to take a pay cut so that the non-playing staff can continue to be paid.
 Players have taken pay cuts like Lionel Messi and other Barcelona players agreed to have the salaries cut by 70%.. The group of Gerald Pique and Sergio Ramos have been spotted in their charity efforts to the needy.
Moreover the Ronaldo and his Juventus counterparts have agreed to cut the save the club about $101m. German clubs that include Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, RB Liepzig and Bayern Leverkusen will share their money with other clubs to counter job loses.
On April 3 premier league stated that its 20 clubs had agreed upon a 30% pay reduction. Though it is uncertain of how many players and clubs have signed the agreement.
Manchester United were the first to be reported as they agreed upon the 30% pay cut. The funds were then supposed to be distributed to local health facilities to enable coronavirus fight.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe took a voluntary pay cut to help fight coronavirus. More Brighton Manager took a 3 month pay cut together with the club's technical director and chief executive.
David Degea was reported to have donated €300,000 towards Madrid city's effort to curb the virus. Also IIkay Gundogan was involved in the arrangements of a shopping service in Heinsburg Germany for a nursing staff according to reports by goal.com.
Pep Guardiola donated $1.1m in Barcelona to help curb the spread of the virus.
Danny James and Loftus Cheek also took part in #combatcorona tournament by Gareth Bale which aims at raising money.
