After her form four KCSE national exams she gave birth to a beautiful child called Natasha. However, the man who impregnated her vanished and hurtfully abandoned Kanze. She tried to hide the pregnancy from her Duruma Mother but the mum later knew about it.

Kanze Dena had a plan of taking the infant to a children's home but her mum resisted. She got a blow when her first born child Natasha passed on. The death of her first born landed her into a depression. This made Kanze Dena almost commit suicide.

Actually what helped Kanze Dena from committing suicide is the support that she received from the Baptist church. What most people don't know is that Kanze Dena worked as a potato peeler at her grandparent's hotel in Mombasa.

Despite the humiliation Kanze Dena went on to enroll for a Diploma in Mass Communication course at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication. After graduating she started her career at KBC before she got a lucrative job at Citizen TV where she worked as a Nipashe 7 o'clock news anchor.

They don’t expound on anything...
